The river is a route for travelers, a source of water and nourishment, a home for many species of animals. It is a place of rest, of celebration and of communion with mysteries. Many customs, beliefs, rituals and tales are associated with the river. The river is Mother Earth’s veins. The rivers of the entire earth interweave to form the most precious braid of life-giving strength, which merits our respect and care. Our planet is important to us. We wholeheartedly support and take part in environmental movements which aim to protect nature and all life on Earth. For this reason also, the title of our album relates to the wonderful environmental and artistic movement Siostry Rzeki.

  RIVER SISTERS is a dialogue with folkloric traditions, embracing the themes of nature, freedom, feminism, and sisterhood. It is the story of the silent inner strength that gives us a chance to change our fate.
